Two male patients presented with painless vision loss to blindness in one eye, and the radiography examinations revealed an intraocular mass suspicious for choroidal melanoma. They underwent enucleation. The histopathological and immunohistochemical findings were compatible with the diagnosis of intraocular perivascular epithelioid cell tumor. Because of its rarity, intraocular perivascular epithelioid cell tumor is easy to be confused with other intraocular tumors on histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations. A newborn boy was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma after a systemic workup was prompted because of abnormal-appearing eyes. Radiological examination revealed mass lesions involving the liver, brain, eyes, and ribs. A liver biopsy was performed before death and results showed hepatoblastoma, an unusual solid tumor of childhood. Report on a case of a total serous retinal detachment which manifested itself by inflammation and rise in tension. It was associated with an undefinable tumour of the posterior portion of the eye which had become visible after puncture of the subretinal fluid. Fluorescein angiography revealed a pattern similar to Hippel-Lindau's disease, although the clinical course was unusual. Although primary malignant melanomas of the skin or eye alone are not too rare, their coincidence is most uncommon. The case of a 41-year-old Caucasian male is reported who developed superficially spreading melanoma on the skin of his trunk 9 years after the enucleation of his right eye because of a fusiform melanoma of the choroidal membrane. Staging revealed a further malignancy: hemangiopericytoma inside and adjacent to the left psoas muscle. Both theoretical and practical conclusions to be drawn from the case are discussed.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is an autosomal dominant familial tumor predisposition syndrome characterized by the growth of benign and malignant tumors involving the peripheral and central nervous system. In the following report, the authors describe a case of a 1-year-old child with NF-1, who underwent enucleation for a blind, proptotic, painful eye with subsequent histopathological examination revealing choroidal ganglioneuroma, a very rare entity.

BACKGROUND: It is known that Wegener's granulomatosis may affect the eye, but macroscopically visible granulomas in patients with this condition have not yet been described.
METHODS: Results of clinical, ultrasound, and histologic examination of a patient with Wegener's granulomatosis are presented.
RESULTS: A sclerochoroidal granuloma in this patient simulated an uveal melanoma. It was not possible to unequivocally differentiate the lesion from a uveal melanoma on sonographic examination, but histologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of sclerochoroidal granuloma.

Ureal metastases (although an uncommon site of metastatic involvement) are seen with primary tumours of the lung and breast and, very rarely, in other primary tumours. Undescended testis predisposes to malignancy. We present a rare case of choroidal metastasis from a non-seminomatous germ cell tumour arising in an undescended testis, and describe its clinical, ultrasound and MRI findings together with a relevant review of the literature.
