OBJECTIVE: Currently, no standard treatment has been established for the total lesion in patient with Marfan Syndrome (MFS). This case report aims to present a total aortic and branches repair with hybrid therapy in a young patient with MFS.
METHODS: Clinical data including imaging manifestation, surgical document, and follow-up results were retrospectively collected and presented.
RESULTS: A young patient with MFS underwent multi-stage endovascular aortic management and open surgical repair. On-the-table fenestration technique was applied to reconstruct the branches of the abdominal aorta.

The primary and secondary pyroelectric coefficients of four different ordered models of lead zirconate titanate Pb[Zr0.5Ti0.5]O3 solid solution have been investigated with a hybrid density functional method. Phonon anharmonicity and finite-temperature phonon properties necessary for the study of primary pyroelectricity are determined with the use of self-consistent phonon theory. Secondary pyroelectricity and lattice thermal expansion are investigated with quasi-harmonic approximation. The lattice thermal conductivity and other physical properties are also reported at the same level of theory.

Compression of the esophagus by a retroesophageal aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA) is a rare cause of dysphagia. We present the case of a 47-year-old female with symptoms of progressive dysphagia diagnosed with dysphagia lusoria using barium swallow and contrast computed tomography and successfully treated with a hybrid procedure: right carotid to subclavian bypass and endovascular insertion of an Amplatzer II Vascular Plug through the right superficial femoral artery. Ewing's sarcoma/primitive neuroectodermal tumor (ES/PNET) of the prostate is extremely rare. Here, we report a case of ES/PNET of prostate in a 24-year-old man presenting with dysuria and pelvic discomfort. Computed tomography scan revealed a heterogeneous mass involving the prostate without evidence of distant metastases. Histologically, the tumor was composed of small round blue cells strongly and diffusely positive for CD99 and epithelial markers. Fluorescence in situ hybridization confirmed rearrangement of the Ewing's sarcoma region on chromosome 22.

A wide range of ab initio and hybrid density functional methods and basis sets have been employed to calculate the barriers to methyl internal rotation in a range of molecules with the acetyl moiety. Comparison is made of the computed torsional frequency with the experimental torsional frequency, nu(obs), for each molecule. With the MP2/6-311+G(3df,2p) combination of method and basis set, the agreement is better than 4 cm-1 for most of the molecules, where nu(obs) or the V3 barrier is well-determined experimentally.
