BACKGROUND: Relapsing Polychondritis(RP) is a rare rheumatic immune disease. As with most diseases, if intervention is delayed, the patient's prognosis is worse. A series of 210 patients with facial fractures sufficiently severe to require cranial computerized tomography (CT) to evaluate suspected closed-head injury (CHI) was studied.
