We report a case of a 16-year-old adolescent boy with autism who presented to the pediatric emergency department after falling from a standing position, with a relatively benign examination, who was found to have significant hemoperitoneum on the focused assessment with sonography in trauma examination.

A case is reported of spontaneous ectopic pregnancy in a non patent fallopian tube of a patient with a contralateral unicornuate uterus without rudimentary horn. A hemoperitoneum, due to the rupture of the tube, occurred with a HCG level of 48 I.U./l. A laparoscopy was therefore performed and the fallopian tube removed.

Two patients with end-stage renal disease from diabetes mellitus on peritoneal dialysis for 2 or more years developed sterile peritonitis secondary to splenic infarcts with associated peripheral embolic phenomena. Traumatic delivery is associated with orthopedic, nervous, and soft tissue injuries. Anticoagulation for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support may predispose to hemorrhage from these birth injuries. A case of delayed hemoperitoneum secondary to hepatic laceration after delivery and ECMO, not previously reported, is detailed herein.

We present a rare case report of a patient with a congenital uterine anomaly - uterus didelphys. Who spontaneously became pregnant and completed the pregnancy successfully after peripartum hysterectomy of one uterus. The reason for the peripartum hysterectomy was a life-threatening hemorrhage with hemoperitoneum after cesarean delivery.

A 76-year-old man developed a hemoperitoneum after ERCP for choledocholithiasis. He underwent a laparotomy and splenectomy for a capsular tear at the splenic hilum, a rare complication of ERCP. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to describe the abdominal imaging features associated with HELLP (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelets) syndrome, a complication of pregnancy.
CONCLUSION: The abdominal imaging features of HELLP syndrome include intraparenchymal and perihepatic hematomas and hemoperitoneum as noted on sonography, CT, and angiography.

Three infants presented with bluish discoloration and swelling of the scrotum with no history of scrotal trauma. Sonography revealed unilateral hematoceles in 2 cases and bilateral hematoceles in the third. All 3 infants had intact testes. The communicating hematoceles were the result of hemoperitoneum due to splanchnic hematoma.

Hemoperitoneum was identified by culdocentesis in a 26-year-old woman suffering acute abdominal pain. A pregnancy test was positive. Operation indicated a ruptured ovarian pregnancy, and histologic examination revealed primary intrafollicular ovarian pregnancy in a cystic teratoma.
