Objective Neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) is a manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Central nervous system (CNS) infection is a consequence of intensive immunosuppressive therapy that patients with SLE might undergo. METHODS: A total of 51 C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into control (n = 36) and vitamin D receptor knockout (VDR, n = 15) groups.
