OBJECTIVE: To report on a rare case of Pacinian neurofibroma of the vulva.
METHODS: A 27-year-old patient who presented with a vulvar tumor is described. Patient evaluation showed no other remarkable findings.
RESULTS: The nodule was resected without difficulty. The histopathological analysis-demonstrated Pacinian neurofibroma with abundant concentric laminar structures. The immunohistochemical (CD34+), ultrastructural and histological analyses showed perineural cells. No signs of neurofibromatosis were found.

Aggressive angiomyxoma is a locally mesenchymal, benign, and rare neoplasm. The vulva, perineum, and pelvis are the most common sites of involvement. The preoperative diagnosis is postulated by CT, sonography, MR image and angiography. The immunohistochemical study reveals the definitive diagnosis. The therapy is only surgical, and because of its tendency to recur locally, the excision has to be as complete as possible.

A rare case of a hemangiopericytoma of the vulva, observed in a 55-year old woman, is presented. So far, only six cases of this uncommon disease--which continues to be a source of uncertainty from both a prognostic and therapeutic point of view--have been reported. The case is described along with a review of international literature.

Malignant rhabdoid tumor (MRT) is an uncommon aggressive neoplasm which usually occurs in the kidney of children, but it has also been found in extrarenal sites. MRT arising in the vulva is extremely rare. Only four cases of MRT of the vulva have been reported in the English literature. We herein present another case. The diagnosis and management of vulva MRT are reviewed.

Lymphangiomas are rare benign proliferations of the lymphatic system. Three types are generally acknowledged: circumscriptum (or capillary), cavernous, and cystic. The management of these lesions depends on type, size, and anatomical location. We present a case of cavernous lymphangioma of the right labium majus in a young woman with no history of radiation therapy or other pathology, which was treated by wide resection.

Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor occurring mainly in the vulvar region extending into the paravaginal and perirectal region. The vulva may develop conditions more familiar to dermatologists than to gynecologists. Although gynecologists may be familiar with some of these lesions, a review of these benign and often pruritic papular lesions may be helpful when receiving a diagnosis more commonly seen in dermatologic practice.

Schwannoma is a benign mesenchymal tumor that arises from the Schwann cells. It can occur in both males and females with an equal incidence (M: F-1:1), with the most common age being the third to fourth decade.
