We introduce a novel system for geometrically accurate, continuous, live, volumetric middle ear optical coherence tomography imaging over a 10.9mm×30∘×30∘ field of view (FOV) from a handheld imaging probe. The system employs a discretized spiral scanning (DC-SC) pattern to rapidly collect volumetric data and applies real-time scan conversion and lateral angular distortion correction to reduce geometric inaccuracies to below the system's lateral resolution over 92% of the FOV. We report on 4 patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty with OtisKnee system (OtisMed, Hayward, Calif). Blood specimens from members of the click-speaking Sandawe tribe of Tanzania and of the adjacent Bantu-speaking Nyaturu tribe have been tested for antigens of 11 blood group systems, for variants of 3 plasma-protein systems and 9 red-cell-enzyme systems, for haemoglobin variants. We investigated a nonsurgical means of reshaping the cornea to correct hyperopia, keratoconus, or myopia. The object was to heat the central stroma of the cornea to the shrinkage temperature of collagen, 55-58 degrees C. Enlarged perivascular spaces (PVS) are imaging markers of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) that are associated with age, disease phenotypes, and overall health. Quantification of PVS is challenging but necessary to expand an understanding of their role in cerebrovascular pathology. Accurate and automated segmentation of PVS on T1-weighted images would be valuable given the widespread use of T1-weighted imaging protocols in multisite clinical and research datasets.
