Primary (partial) cortisol receptor resistance was previously reported in a total of 7 patients and 14 asymptomatic family members. Its occurrence is considered to be extremely rare. In the present study we report on 6 patients (2 males and 4 females) with the syndrome. The first male patient presented with mild hypertension. Pituitary and testicular function was studied in pubertal and adult rabbits with pseudohermaphroditism secondary to immunization of mothers against testosterone. The purpose of the present study was to report on gonadotropin function and puberty of a large group of children treated by cranial irradiation for cranial and neck tumors and medulloblastoma.
