INTRODUCTION: Penile prosthesis (PP) implantation in men with severe corporal fibrosis presents a significant surgical challenge. For the past 7 years, we have used a novel, preoperative protocol of daily vacuum therapy (VT) using a vacuum erection device for at least 3 months before PP placement for men with severe corporal fibrosis from PP infection or ischemic priapism.
