In recent years the advent of high-resolution and color Doppler ultrasound has enabled a more comprehensive examination of the veins at the cardiac level. These veins include both the superior and inferior vena cava, the pulmonary veins, the azygos vein, the coronary sinus, and the brachiocephalic (or innominate) vein. The objective of this paper is to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of emergency percutaneous treatment of ruptures of the iliac axis. In 5 years, we observed 13 patients (mean age, 62.1 years), 11 with rupture of the external iliac artery and two with rupture of the common iliac artery (six traumatic and seven iatrogenic). This article reviews aspects of arthritis imaging that are specific to children. The pediatric skeleton is unique and responds in characteristic ways to articular inflammation. Epiphyseal and physeal cartilage are affected by joint diseases, and disturbances of growth and maturation are sometimes the cardinal manifestations of arthritis. The target joints of pediatric articular diseases differ considerably from those of diseases in adults. Imaging techniques should be tailored to the children being studied.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to investigate the haemodynamic effects of topical dorzolamide treatment in eyes with newly detected and previously untreated glaucoma.
