Ovarian interstitial tissue (IT) is a prominent but poorly characterised component of the koala ovary. This study analysed the morphology and immunohistochemical profile of IT in the koala ovary across different reproductive phases. BACKGROUND: Alpacas have reproductive traits such as induced ovulation and a higher gestation rate in the left uterine horn (LUH). Additionally, low fertility and high embryonic mortality are significant challenges in alpaca breeding. To address these issues, it is essential to study the histological changes occurring in the uterine wall during day 8 of the luteal phase (LP).
AIM: This research aims to describe these changes in alpacas with induced ovulation using GnRH or copulation.

BACKGROUND: Obesity is an important cause for the precocious or early puberty. However, the association between obesity-related loci and the risk of precocious puberty as well as the effect of gene-environment interaction are unclear, especially in the Chinese children population.
METHODS: This was a case-control study using baseline data from two cohorts and hospital cases in China. 15 SNPs loci and several environmental factors were included in the analysis of 1201 participants. Chi-square test and logistic regression were used to analyze the association between SNPs and precocious puberty.

The study provides a general overview of the morphology of the epididymal duct in pigs. Four epididymides from two sexually mature boars were dissected into 32 segments and examined histologically.
