The changes of the human fallopian tube epithelium in the different phases of the menstrual cycle, during tubal pregnancy and in the postmenopausal period have been studied by scanning electron microscopy. During sexual life, the most evident modifications occur in the nonciliated cells. After ovulation they show dome-shaped apices covered by secretory material which partly masks the microvilli.

Results of 21 injections of the transverse colon with coloured latex. The superior and inferior mesenteric arteries are separately injected. Dissections allowed the study of the topography and width of the colic transverse vessels. Collateral circulation is also described. A middle colic artery is present in 85% of the cases. The length of transverse colon vascularized by each arterial system is related with accuracy to the number of arcades issued from each system. The superior mesenteric artery prevails in the blood supply of the transverse colon (70% of its length).

Interstitial plasma cells are constantly present in the submaxillary gland. Their number varies greatly with species. They are normal cells, lymphocytes are never associated with them. Immuno-fluorescent studies show the presence of IgA. So, these cells are presumably the site of formation of secretory immunoglobulins which have been shown to be present in saliva. However this does not prove that they have no other secretory activity.

Authors report a very rare malformation of the external genital organs in a male new-born who died 48 hours after birth. This malformation consisted in a total aplasia of the corpus cavernosum and bulbus penis with a fusiforme dilatation of the anterior urethra. The malformation was associated with an anal imperforation, bilateral cryptorchidism and renal hypoplasia.

Congenital anomalies detected by ultrasound occur in approximately 2-4% of pregnancies. Cytogenetic testing allows detection of chromosomal abnormalities, but the majority of fetuses remain without a diagnosis. It is in this context that exome sequencing was introduced into prenatal medicine. The dorsal fascia of the foot has historically received less attention than plantar and crural fascial structures, despite its importance in tendon stabilization, compartmental organization, and surgical procedures around the ankle.
