A case of self-limited renal vasculitis during pregnancy in a patient with a history of recurrent fetal loss and with a positive cardiolipin immunoglobulin G antibody test is described. The renal disease manifested as an acute renal failure in the second trimester of the patient's third pregnancy, concurrent with severe pre-eclampsia. Twenty-six patients with Behçet's disease were studied for serum levels of anticardiolipin (ACL) antibody isotypes IgG and IgM. The frequency of elevated levels of ACL antibody isotype IgM was found to be significantly increased in these patients. This increased frequency, however, did not correlate statistically with a thrombotic tendency, colchicine intake, antinuclear antibodies, or a positive VDRL test.

We qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed the simple and complex lipids of 10 Legionnaires' disease bacteria.
