Methods A scoping review of peer-reviewed articles published between 1971and 2021 was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA extension for scoping reviews to determine the scope of use of PRs for people with DS. RESULTS: 937 papers were screened, and 52 papers were included and charted into seven

METHODOLOGY: This cross-sectional study involved 222 subjects (50% DS, 50% NS) who were matched by gender and age. The casts were digitized into three-dimensional images. These images were used alongside the ten occlusal characteristics of the Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) to determine malocclusion severity and the need for orthodontic treatment. RESULTS: There were 58 (52.3%) females and 53 (47.7%) males wit

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a broad term that describes a group of heterogeneous rheumatologic diseases, mainly characterized by inflammation in the joints of children and young people up to 16 years of age. Its etiology is still not well understood and the diagnosis, essentially clinical, begins with the exclusion of other joint diseases. When the disease affects the temporomandibular joint, diagnosis is a challenge, as many patients are asymptomatic. The objective of this paper is to present a case of JIA with severe involvement of the temporomandibular joint and to discuss the cl
