INTRODUCTION: Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) is a size-independent, endoscopic management option for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). HoLEP offers a distinct advantage for patients who are at high-risk for bleeding whilst preserving prostatic tissue for pathology analysis, unlike photoselective vaporization. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: This study reviews contemporary literature on RASP and HoLEP to evaluate perioperative outcomes, common complications, cost analytics, and future directions of both procedures.

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy on the incidence of pseudophakic retinal detachment (RD). The PubMed and Embase databases were searched for meta-analysis. We report a case of chromoblastomycosis caused by Fonsecaea nubica, which was successfully treated by long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser combined with terbinafine. A 60-year-old man was admitted for the presence of a 30 mm×40 mm erythematous plaque on the dorsum of his right hand for about 10 months without any subjective symptoms. Both microscopic examination and tissue biopsy of the lesion showed characteristic sclerotic bodies of chromoblastomycosis. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Acne scarring is a widely prevalent condition that can have a negative impact on a patient's quality of life and is often worsened by aging. A number of options are available for the treatment of acne scarring, including retinoids, microdermabrasion, dermal fillers, and surgical techniques such as subcision.
