Epstein-Barr virus-positive (EBV) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLCBL) of the elderly is a newly described lymphoproliferative disorder that arises in elderly patients without a predisposing immunodeficiency. Clinical features at presentation may include lymphadenopathy, B-symptoms and extranodal involvement. The main sites of extranodal involvement are the skin, lung, tonsil and stomach. The occurrence of adult intussusception from small intestinal lymphoma is quite rare. We present an 82-year-old man with a two-month history of intermittent abdominal pain, nausea and fatigue. Clinical symptoms included moderate abdominal tenderness in the right lower abdomen. Computed tomography scan of the abdomen revealed a mass in the terminal ileum with the sign of "bowel within bowel" which was suspicious of ileo-ileum intussusception. We report a rare case of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with mass lesions of skull vault and ileocecum. The patient was an 82-year-old Japanese woman who exhibited a painless subcutaneous scalp tumor in the right parietal region associated with no neurological abnormalities. Magnetic resonance imaging of the head demonstrated a mass in the skull vault with iso- to hypointense signals on both T1- and T2-weighted imaging. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) occasionally presents with circulating malignant cells. The clinical characteristics and long-term outcomes of these patients have not been described. Twenty-nine newly diagnosed DLBCL presenting in leukaemic phase were identified between 1996 and 2010, at two institutions. Colorectal lymphoma is an extremely infrequent entity, representing less than 0.5% of all primary colorectal neoplasms. We report a case of primary hyperparathyroidism associated with a malignant lymphoma in the thyroid gland. A 68-year-old woman was admitted to hospital with a cervical mass. Ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) revealed a hypoechoic, multinodular tumor in the left thyroid gland. A gallium-67 citrate scintigram revealed intense radioisotope uptake in the thyroid tumor. Histological examination of biopsy specimens indicated that this tumor was a large B-cell lymphoma. Acute tumor lysis syndrome (ATLS) is a well-known complication of chemotherapy in patients with rapidly proliferative hematopoietic malignancies such as lymphoma and leukemia. Rituximab anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody, an alternative to chemotherapy in the treatment of low-grade follicular lymphoma, also has been associated with ATLS. A 63-year-old female with stage IE diffuse large B-cell lymphoma developed reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS) following CHOP chemotherapy, with typical clinical and radiological findings. RPLS is a rare neurological syndrome characterised by visual disturbances, seizures, headaches and altered conscious level which has been associated with malignant hypertension, pre-eclampsia and some drugs, including ciclosporin. It has not been previously reported following CHOP chemotherapy. Alternative treatment should be considered for patients who develop this rare complication.
