Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second-most common clinical presentation of non-melanoma skin cancer. Despite its prevalence, the rate of growth and development of SCC lesions is low. We present a case report of an exophytic SCC of the midline scalp. Inconsistent data exist regarding the anatomy of the spinal nerve roots lateral to the thecal sac. A newly developed in situ technique was used to precisely define anatomic parameters on 20 fresh human cadavers. A 47-year-old man was admitted to hospital with complaint of general fatigue. Shortly before the admission a suspected obstructive jaundice was diagnosed at a local hospital. PURPOSE: Lung cancers presenting as subsolid nodule commonly have peripheral location, making the cancer-pleura relationship noteworthy. We aimed to evaluate the effect of pleural attachment and/or indentation on visceral pleural invasion (VPI) and recurrence-free survival.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients who underwent curative resection of lung cancer as subsolid nodules from April 2007 to January 2016 were retrospectively evaluated. BACKGROUND: Bicipital tendinitis is a common cause of anterior shoulder pain, but there is no evidence that acute inflammation of the extra-articular long head of the biceps (LHB) tendon is the root cause of this condition.
