Evidence on sexual and reproductive health service delivery during and post COVID-19: a multi-country facility assessment.

INTRODUCTION: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted global health systems, and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) were among the services often receiving less priority compared to other urgent health needs. Anticipated disruptions included limited access to contraception, abortion care, sexually transmitted infections (STI) prevention, and gender-based violence (GBV) support, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This study aimed to assess the availability, readiness, and recovery of SRH services during and after the pandemic across nine countries. METHODS: This repeated

Sex and Gender Disparities in Kidney Transplantation.

Sex refers to biological traits, while gender involves socially constructed roles and behaviors. Globally, women face disparities in access to kidney transplants, and outcomes, driven by sociocultural and systemic factors. Females have a higher prevalence of kidney disease, start dialysis at lower glomerular filtration rates, and receive lower dialysis doses than males. Fewer females are refered for kidney transplants than males, and females have lower rates of preemptive transplantation than males. There are significant disparities in waitlisting, with fewer females being placed on kidney tra

Identifying the dimensions and components influencing health literacy and self-care in endometriosis: a scoping review.

BACKGROUND: Endometriosis is a chronic, progressive inflammatory disorder affecting nearly 10% of reproductive-age women, yet it remains substantially underdiagnosed. Limited health literacy, inadequate access to reliable information, and reliance on variable-quality digital resources hinder timely symptom recognition and effective self-management. Understanding the determinants of health literacy and self-care is therefore essential to improving disease outcomes. METHODS: This scoping review followed the Arksey and O’Malley framework, refined by Levac et al., and reported in accordance with P

A Research Domain Criteria (RDoC)-Guided Dashboard to Review Psilocybin Target Domains: A Systematic Review.

BACKGROUND: Preliminary results from randomized controlled studies as well as identified molecular, cellular, and circuit targets of select psychedelics (e.g., psilocybin) suggest that their effects are transdiagnostic. In this review, we exploit the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) transdiagnostic framework, to synthesize extant literature on psilocybin. OBJECTIVE: We aimed to identify RDoC-based effects of psilocybin and vistas for future mechanistic and interventional research. METHODS: A systematic search in electronic databases (i.e., PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, and Web of Science) perform
