We report a right-handed 67-year-old woman with an infarction in the left posterior cerebral artery territory presenting amnesic syndrome, right homonymous hemianopsia, pure alexia, color anomia, and defective route finding. The patient often walked in wrong directions out of her hospital room as well as in her home. She was able to recognize her own house and nearby streets by looking at them. Infantile and maternal choriocarcinoma is a very rare disease. We report a case with the characteristic clinical features of infantile choriocarcinoma: developing anemia, hemorrhagic liver tumors, rapid progression to death and maternal choriocarcinoma. Bone scintigraphy showed increased uptake by the liver tumors. In this case there were two possible primary sites: the placenta of this pregnancy and a hydatidiform mole that had been present 2 years previously.

Single coronary artery has been considered a minor coronary anomaly without clinical importance. Nineteen patients with PHO with onset in childhood are presented. In 7 cases the syndrome was found in other family members too. In clinical, X-ray scintigraphic, arteriographic, and plethysmographic investigations, joint affection was found in 14 patients. Sixty-five patients were studied with stress electrocardiography and thallium-20 1 relative myocardial perfusion scintigraphy. Results were correlated with selective coronary angiography. Scintigraphy was more sensitive (85 versus 67 percent), more specific (89 versus 63 percent) and significantly more accurate (87 versus 65 percent) than stress electrocardiography for the diagnosis of significant coronary arterial lesions in patients with isoelectric S-T segments at rest. The aim of this study of 20 young subjects (28 +/- 10.6 years) with no apparent cardiac disease on clinical examination and chest X-ray was to determine the origin of complex ventricular arrhythmias: monomorphic or polymorphic ventricular extrasystoles, isolated or in valves (average 18 158 +/- 12 388 per 24 hours) and/or ventricular tachycardia (5 cases, sustained in 3). These arrhythmias were aggravated (N = 6), disappeared (N = 8) or remained unchanged (N = 5) during exercise. The inter-critical ECG showed ST changes in 5 cases. Left ventricular pseudo-aneurysm is a rare complication that usually occurs after myocardial infarction or cardiac surgery. Sometimes it is related to cardiac rupture. BACKGROUND: To investigate the role of upper extremity radionuclide venography as a potential diagnostic modality in the assessment of venous thrombosis associated with a Port-A catheter.
METHODS: Fourteen symptomatic patients who had received Port-A catheter implantation were enrolled.
