This study reports synergistic effects in the simultaneous conversion of dyes and heavy metal ions in aqueous TiO2/dye/metal ion systems (ternary components) under visible light (lambda > 420 nm). We present and validate a novel, to our knowledge, and excellent nonlinear optical limiting (NOL) material-graphene suspension in carbon tetrachloride (CCl4). We measured the transmittance of the graphene suspension at three concentrations and three solution thicknesses at the wavelength of 1064 nm.
