BACKGROUND: Autologous whole blood or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are commonly used to treat lateral elbow pain (also known as tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis or epicondylalgia). Based on animal models and observational studies, these injections may modulate tendon injury healing, but randomised controlled trials have reported inconsistent results regarding benefit for people with lateral elbow pain.

Comminuted olecranon fracture requires surgical intervention. Plate fixation has been performed on the majority of cases. We reviewed the cases of comminuted olecranon fracture in young and middle age treated by plate osteosynthesis and analyzed the functional outcome, complications and ratio and timing of hardware removal. Fifteen cases of comminuted olecranon fractures treated by plate fixation were reviewed. We investigated 53 patients with 57 radial head fractures (4 patients with bilateral fractures) treated between 1993 and 1998. We focused on patients with radial head fractures asking about (1) the relation between fracture type and therapy and (2) the correlation between chosen treatment and result. We reviewed 35 of 38 consecutive patients who had operative treatment for medial epicondylitis of the elbow after the failure of conservative management. Their mean age was 43 years and mean follow-up was 85 months. INTRODUCTION: Bilateral shoulder dislocation are most commonly posterior type. These are most commonly due to seizure disorder and electrocution. Anterior shoulder dislocations occurring bilaterally without any predisposing factors are very rare. These types of injuries are due to trauma with a unique mechanism of injury. To best of our knowledge there are only few cases of similar kind are reported in literature.
