An eccrine poroma is a common benign tumour arising from the eccrine sweat gland duct epithelium in the dermo-epidermal region. Its occurrence in the neck region in pediatric age group is a rare entity. Here we report a case of an eccrine poroma in the retro-auricular area just below and behind the lobule of the left pinna in a nine years old child.

Duodenal ulcer is an uncommonly diagnosed entity in children. H. pylori infection, blood group 'O' or secondary to medications like non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) and corticosteroids or physiological stress in burns, head injury and mucosal ischemia are implicated as risk factors for their causation. This study was carried out with the objective of finding refractive status of patients undergoing phacoemulsification surgery for cataract extraction. Success of cataract surgery can be quantified with the improvement in visual acuity with least amount of refractive error. Prospective study of 44 patients was done pre operatively and with subsequent follow up in the first, third and eighth week post operatively. INTRODUCTION: Cysticercosis is the larval manifestation of the cestode T. solium. It commonly presents as subcutaneous and intramuscular nodules which is often clinically misinterpreted as benign mesenchymal lesions and lymph nodes. Hearing preservation is exceedingly difficult in vestibular schwannoma surgery, especially with increasing tumor size. We herein report a case of hearing preservation in a 2.7 cm vestibular schwannoma, where the patient maintained her pre-operative hearing threshold of 55 dB till a year after surgery. Hence, it appears that an attempt at hearing preservation is worth pursuing.

Gunshot wounds to the head are usually mortal injuries. We present a unique case of intracranial ricocheting of bullet without neurological deficits. Patient was treated conservatively with antibiotics for one week and prophylactic anticonvulsants for six weeks. Patient is doing well at six months follow up.
