OBJECTIVE: To assess the comparability of different classification criteria sets for primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS).
METHODS: In a prospective study we examined all patients with suspected pSS who were admitted to our Department of Rheumatology or referred to our outpatient clinic between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2002. A prospective study of 236 patients with neglected femoral neck fractures was done to determine the usefulness of a preoperative classification based on the radiologic changes that occur at the site of the fracture. Thirty-four patients were observed in Group I, 125 patients were observed in Group II, and nine patients were observed in Group III. Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) occurs as a result of obstruction of hepatic venous outflow at any level from the small hepatic veins to the junction of the inferior vena cava with the right atrium. Diagnosis can be difficult because of the wide spectrum of presentation of the disease and the varying severity of liver damage.
