OBJECTIVES: This study evaluates interobserver and intraobserver agreement with respect to the determination of the shape and surface of the condylar head on panoramic views.
STUDY DESIGN: Detailed frames (n = 632) were made from preoperative and postoperative panoramic views of 158 consecutive patients, who underwent orthognathic surgery. The intraobserver and interobserver agreement were calculated by using Cohen's kappa.

BACKGROUND: Recent research on occupational injury to apple harvest workers in New York and Pennsylvania indicates that muscle strain is one of their leading problems. A descriptive study of ergonomic risks for strains of the shoulder and lower back among apple harvesters was carried out to identify opportunities for intervention.

The two protein components of nitrogenase from Klebsiella pneumoniae were shown to interact with metal ions and ADP, altering their electrophoretic mobility in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Diffuse panbronchiolitis (DPB) is a distinct clinicopathological entity which is characterized by chronic recurrent sinopulmonary infection and inflammation. It is prevalent in the Far East, but extremely rare in western countries. We report a case of lobomycosis presenting like a cutaneous tumoral lesion in a patient living in Guyana. The causative agent is Loboa loboi. The illness is seldom observed in metropolitan France. The epidemiology, the clinical features, the course and the treatment are studied. The diagnosis is histological, with the morphological features of yeast-like cells.
