A 19-yr-old woman with previously diagnosed clear cell adenocarcinoma was referred to the Charité for further treatment. Biopsies were taken from the cervix, the endometrium, pseudomembranes in the peritoneum, and sentinel lymph nodes. We report a rare case of primary amelanotic malignant melanoma of the female urethra. A 58-year-old female with complaint of nodule on the external urethral meatus was referred to our hospital. We reported a 24-year-old female patient with the history of ectopic axillary breast cancer which was removed surgically. Sentinel node mapping was performed for lymphatic axillary staging of this patient with two injections of the 99m-Tc-phytate in both ends of the surgical scar. Lymphoscintigraphy showed an axillary sentinel node which was harvested during surgery and was not pathologically involved. Our case showed that sentinel node mapping is possible for ectopic axillary breast cancer patients even after excisional biopsy of the index lesion.

Intracystic papillary carcinoma of the breast (ICP) is a rare form of noninvasive breast cancer. The average age of onset is 65 years. Patients with ICP have a greater than 15-year survival rate advantage compared to patients with other breast carcinomas. There have been no reports of disease-related deaths in patients with ICP and no increased risk of disease in the contralateral breast. No definitive conclusions have been made regarding adjuvant treatment; however, ICP should generally be treated like ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Tamoxifen is often recommended.

Apocrine adenocarcinoma is a rare malignancy with invasive potential. Its clinical behavior and histologic appearance are highly variable, making accurate diagnosis difficult. We report on a case of apocrine carcinoma presenting with lymph node infiltration and extensive extramammary Paget's disease. Wide local excision with lymph node dissection is the mainstay of treatment. The role of adjuvant therapy has yet to be established.

AIMS: To evaluate two detailed step sectioning protocols for sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs).
METHODS: After vital dye or combined dye and radiocolloid guided biopsy, SLNs were fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin wax. In protocol A, SLNs from 123 patients were sectioned in steps of 50-100 micro m, whereas in protocol B, SLNs from 123 patients were sectioned at steps of 250 micro m.
