Over a ten-year period (1974-1983) 542 cases of allergic occupational contact dermatitis were diagnosed in our clinic. Epoxy resins caused 71 cases (13.1%) of occupational allergic contact dermatitis (CD), and three cases (0.6%) of irritant CD. One contact urticaria was caused by an epoxy resin hardener, methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride. Epicutaneous testing with standard epoxy resin 1% in pet. Chemically stabilized cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni have been developed by inactivating surface glycoproteins which are essential for their survival. The inactivation was achieved by reaction with 0.01-0.1% glutaraldehyde, 0.1-1% formaldehyde, and 0.37-3.7 microliters citraconic anhydride. A technique is described to allow electron microscopic investigation of a specific feature of a section on a glass slide. A section on a glass slide (previously treated with a silicone release agent) is processed as required for light microscopy. The section is then impregnated with Araldite and cured with an epoxy resin block on top of it. The section and block are removed from the slide and viewed with a light microscope. The binding of H-concanavalin A (Con A) to cortisone-resistant and normal mouse thymocytes, which greatly differ in mitogenic responsiveness, was compared. The experimental results herein concern a novel ion-selective electrode manufactured with an inner solid contact based on a new ligand O,O'-(2,2'-biphenylene)dithiophosphate pentyl (PenDTF). OBJECTIVE: To explore the methods for labeling CDTPA-coupled CD45 monoclonal antibody (mAb) with yttrium-90 ((90)Y) for potential acute myeloid therapy.
METHODS: CD45 mAb was labeled with (90)Y by CDTPA and the labeling rate, radiochemical purity, final specific activity, and immunological activity of the mAb were detected.
RESULTS: With the optimal molar ratio of CDTPA/Ab at 20:1, the labeling rate was 95%, radiochemical purity 99.8%, and final specific activity 1.9 mCi/mg. This conjugate was stable in vitro with comparable immunological activity in comparison with unlabeled CD45 mAb.
