BACKGROUND: Periclitoral masses are seldom reported. One cause is a congenitally fused clitoral prepuce (or clitoral hood).
CASE: A patient was referred to our gynecologic oncology practice with a suspicious periclitoral mass for evaluation of possible malignancy. The clitoral hood was, in fact, fused such that the glans was completely covered. Surgical excision of the distal prepuce (or clitoral hood) expelled trapped sebaceous material and revealed a normal-appearing glans clitoris. Clitoral hood reconstruction restored the patient's external genitalia to normal anatomy.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical characteristics of female clitoral priapism.
METHODS: A 29-year-old case of painful priapism of the clitoris lasting 60 hours was reported. The etiology, diagnosis and treatment of clitoral priapism were discussed and the literature reviewed.
RESULTS: The patient was cured by intracavernous administration of adrenaline.

Although external genital cutaneous sarcoidosis is rare, it can closely resemble lichen sclerosus (LS) and delay diagnosis. We report a case of a 69-year-old woman with long-standing vulvar symptoms and LS-like pallor of the labia minora and clitoris. Biopsy showed non-caseating granulomas with negative infection stains, consistent with vulvar sarcoidosis. This case supports the need for early biopsy in cases of persistent or atypical vulvar pallor and highlights sarcoidosis as an uncommon but important LS-mimic.

Hair Tourniquet Syndrome (HTS) is defined as strangulation by a hair thread of the appendage of the human body, especially in the children population, it rarely occurs in external genitalia (clitoris, labia majora and minora). Herein, we aimed to present a rare occurrence of HTS around the labia minora in a 12-year-old child treated by excision of the cystic lesion with an uneventful follow-up. Special care should be given to every swollen appendage in children to avoid severe consequences such as amputation and disfigurement.

The clitoris has a crucial role in the feminine pleasure. Chronic inflammatory dermatosis along with post-menopausal atrophy of the vulva and obstetrical traumas can cause clitoral phimosis, thereby compromising its function. Medical treatments exist depending on the etiology, but when irreversible scarring occur, a surgical treatment can be necessary to regain its function. We present here our surgical technique that achieves excellent functional results with low morbidity and the outcome of our patients in order to improve this sexual dysfunction.

A 9-month-old infant with hypertrophic clitoris and separated urethral and vaginal opening was diagnosed as having 46,XY incomplete "pure gonadal dysgenesis". Examination of both gonads revealed gonadoblastoma and bilateral salpingo-gonadectomy and partial hysterectomy were performed. Patient is raised as a girl, and clitoroplasty will be done in next several months. The fact that gonadal neoplasia in our patient was found already at the age of 9 months, confirms the need for gonadectomy at the time of diagnosis in the patients with 46,XY gonadal dysgenesis.
