Clonorchis Sinensis infestation can involve the pancreatic duct and induce attacks of acute pancreatitis. Ct findings in a case of Clonorchis Sinensis pancreatitis revealed significant enlargement of the pancreas with compression and obstruction of the common duct. Medical treatment leads to resolution of the clinical and CT findings. The patient experienced a second episode of pancreatitis 3 yr later. CT examination documented the development of chronic pancreatitis with an acute exacerbation.

This study revealed the infection status of P. parva with the metacercariae of M. orientalis in the Sunam stream of the Nakdong River, a well-known focus of Clonorchis sinensis. A total of 60 P. parva were divided into 4 groups by the size (80-90, 70-79, 60-69 and 50-59 mm) and were digested by pepsin-HCl solution in a 36 degrees C incubator. We investigated the sero-prevalence of toxocariasis among healthy Korean adults in 1999. A total of 314 sera from normal inhabitants in Whachon-gun, Gangwondo, Korea was examined for specific antibody levels against excretory-secretory products of second stage larvae of Toxocara (TES). The presence of cross-reactions with other helminthiases such as cysticercosis, paragonimiasis, sparganosis or clonorchiasis was also checked by specific IgG ELISA. The infection status with Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae (CsMc) was examined in freshwater fishes from Yongjeon-cheon (a branch of Nakdong-gang) located in Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the Republic of Korea (Korea). A total of 750 fishes in 19 species were examined by the artificial digestion method for 2 years (2019 and 2020). From May to November 2013, a total of 1175 wild freshwater fishes were collected from the rivers of Chuoer, Yalu, Wuyuer, Alun, and Yin in Nenjiang River basin Qiqihaer City, and examined for metacercariae by direct compression method. The metacercariae were collected by artificial digestion method. Forty Kunming mice were infected with 30-40 metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis.
