Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections belong to the most common sexually transmitted infections. Cryotherapy for treatment of genital condylomata acuminata was safely and successfully employed on 34 pregnant women in the second (4 cases) and third (30 cases) trimesters of pregnancy. No fetal, maternal or neonatal complications occurred during or following cryosurgery. No recurrences were observed before or six weeks following delivery. Cryotherapy eliminated the need for elective cesarean section in many patients with genital condylomata. Cryotherapy can be safely employed on pregnant women on an outpatient basis irrespective of the gestational period.

Verrucous Leiomyoma of the Scrotum Imitating Condyloma Acuminata. Solitary leiomyomas of the scrotum have an uncharacteristical clinical appearance therefore they are usually not recognized by clinicians. A 55 year old man was found to have multiple asymptomatic verrucous lesions on the scrotal wall which resembled condylomata acuminata. As a large disk-like induration (6 x 8 cm in diameter) could be palpated in the dermis of the anterior scrotal wall, the whole area was excised. Histologically a large multicentered leiomyoma of the tunica dartos was found.

Ultrasonic surgical aspiration is a useful technique for safe and accurate tissue removal. This study was conducted to evaluate its role in noninvasive vulvar disease.
