We report a case of a man with a 30-year history of treatment-resistant hypertension, hydropoiesis, tachycardic spells and dysgeusia. Despite repeated visits to the emergency department and work-up in an out-patient clinic, the diagnosis was unknown. Three years prior to remittance to an endocrinologist, the hypertension worsened, and he developed diabetes type-II. Further work-up revealed a 3 cm extra-adrenal pheochromocytoma, a paraganglioma. OBJECTIVES: The objective of the study was to describe phenotype-genotype correlation in selected cases with infertility and emphasise the importance of genetic testing as useful tool for proper treatment decision making MATERIAL AND METHODS: Genetic tests were performed in four patients as a part of diagnostic procedure by Sanger sequencing or targeted next generation sequencing (NGS gene panel).

Physicians often see patients who complain of "easy bruising." The skill of the clinician is to identify those patients likely to have a potentially serious underlying disorder from those who do not.
