Almost all uterine mesenchymal tumours have been historically classified as either smooth muscle or endometrial stromal neoplasms. Recent application of molecular techniques has identified numerous lesions with distinctive genetic abnormalities and clinicopathological characteristics. Cervico-thoracic tumors resection through transmanubrial osteomuscular sparing approach.

Twelve patients with cervico-thoracic tumors underwent transmanubrial approach during a 1-year period. All but two patients with NSCLC (n = 8), had double approaches. Three cases with cervical esophageal cancer underwent TMA and laparotomy. The last patient underwent TMA for cervical fibrosarcoma. One patient underwent subclavian artery resection, while another one resection of the left brachicephalic vein with graft replacement. Retroperitoneal xanthogranuloma in a patient with Erdheim-Chester disease.

A case of Erdheim-Chester disease with retroperitoneal and renal sinus xanthogranuloma that occurred in a 50-year-old woman is presented. The 12 previously reported cases of Erdheim-Chester disease associated with retroperitoneal xanthogranuloma are reviewed and compared with 13 sporadic cases of retroperitoneal xanthogranuloma. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a slow growing, locally invasive tumour whose differentiation from other fibrohistiocytic tumours sometimes poses serious diagnostic problems. Primary epithelioid sarcoma of the hard palate. A case report.

A case of primary epithelioid sarcoma of the hard palate is described with no evidence of metastases. Review of the literature revealed no other reported cases of epithelioid sarcoma at this site. The patient, a 20-year-old male negro, returned with 2 local recurrences after initial excision but with no evidence of metastases. He remains well with no evidence of disease at present. This report records a unique primary site for this tumour, and illustrates the diagnostic difficulties, both clinical and histological, which this tumour may present.

Granulated metrial gland cells are cytotoxic cells found in the uterine wall in pregnancy. In this study, the involvement of the cytoplasmic granules of mouse granulated metrial gland cells during cytolysis of fibrosarcoma Wehi 164 cells was investigated in vitro. Primary testicular sarcoma: a report of two cases.

The clinical and pathologic features of two primary pure testicular sarcomas are reported. One tumor was an osteosarcoma and was found in a 30-year-old man; the other was a fibrosarcoma from an 86-year-old man. The patients were treated with orchiectomy and high ligation of the spermatic cord and received no postoperative therapy.
