UNLABELLED: The study aimed to characterize patients with newly diagnosed benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and identify patterns that lead to late diagnosis of the disease.
STUDY DESIGN: Simple open retrospective non-comparative study.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: To determine the frequency of requests for medical care for BPH, the study analyzed medical records of 3544 patients who sought outpatient urological care at the municipal polyclinic # 26 in Novosibirsk in 2013. Sporadic adrenal medullary hyperplasia (AMH) is a rare entity and mimics pheochromocytoma clinically as well as pharmacologically. It is characterized by increase in adrenal medullary cells with the expansion of cells into areas normally not seen. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is classified as classical CAH and non-classical CAH (NCCAH). In the classical type, the most severe form comprises both salt-wasting and simple virilizing forms. In the non-classical form, diagnosis can be more confusing because the patient may remain asymptomatic or the condition may be associated with signs of androgen excess in the postnatal period or in the later stages of life. This review paper will include information on clinical findings, symptoms, diagnostic approaches, and treatment modules of NCCAH.

INTRODUCTION: The aim of this report is to present a severe case of phenytoin (PHT)-induced gingival hyperplasia in a Saudi patient.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A 12-year-old male epileptic patient, undergoing PHT therapy, was diagnosed clinically with severe gingival hyperplasia. His treatment consisted meticulous oral care and weekly professional prophylaxis. PURPOSE: Patients with Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID) are subject to the development of a liver disease syndrome known as nodular regenerative hyperplasia (NRH). The purpose of this study was to define the characteristics and course of this complication of CVID.
