INTRODUCTION: One of the challenges of varicocele surgery is to prevent hydrocele formation while still ensuring success. Methylene blue has been used to identify and preserve lymphatic vessels, and venography has been a standard component of sclerotherapy and percutaneous retrograde techniques. PURPOSE: To evaluate the dynamic change of the canaliculus and the lacrimal sac during blinking using fluoroscopic dacryocystography.
METHODS: Sixteen patients presenting with unilateral epiphora were enrolled in the study. Fluoroscopic dacryocystography was performed in both eyes, and sequential images of the lacrimal drainage system were acquired during blinking. On examination of the contralateral asymptomatic side, the length of the lower canaliculus and the width of the superior and inferior portions of the lacrimal sac were measured and compared between eyelid closure and opening.

We report the MDCT findings of a 17-month-old girl with Cantrell's pentalogy, a rare congenital disease characterized by several defects in the ventral thoracoabdominal wall including ectopia cordis, and, in this patient, associated with tetralogy of Fallot. This case provides an example of the utility of a wide volume in coverage and high-pitch MDCT scan in the evaluation of complex cardiovascular anatomy in infants with congenital heart disease without the need of an ECG-gating acquisition.

On conventional ascending phlebography of the leg the deep femoral and pelvic veins are poorly visualized or not visualized at all. These veins are presumed to be the site of thrombosis and a source of pulmonary embolism in many instances. Diagnostic images of deep femoral and pelvic veins were obtained in 4 patients using injection of 30 ml of iopromide 300 mg I/ml into the iliac artery and DSA imaging of the venous phase of the angiogram.
