BACKGROUND: In order to correct upper lid laxity, upper blepharoplasty, subbrow excision, and forehead lift have been utilized. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and clinical results of a new crestal sinus lift technique used to elevate the sinus floor simultaneously with bone grafts and implant placement.
METHODS: Eleven patients underwent this crestal sinus lift technique performed using an SCA KIT. The mean residual bone height was 6.4 mm (range: 4.1 mm to 8.6 mm). Bio-Oss collagen was used as the graft material, and 12 implants were simultaneously placed after sinus augmentation. Radiographic and clinical examinations were conducted during follow-up.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of shoulder lift reduction for treatment of posterior dislocation of hip joint.
METHODS: From July 2001 to June 2010, 14 cases of posterior dislocation of hip joint were treated with shoulder lift reduction involving 12 males and 2 females with an average age of 34.6 years ranging from 18 to 57 years. After recduction, all patients were assisted with the traction, exercise and traditional Chinese medicine. The mean duration between injured and treatment was 1.1 days (2 hours to 3 days). According to Harris scoring system the hip joint function were evaluated.
