STUDY OBJECTIVE: Owing to the increase in cesarean sections (C-sections) worldwide, long-term complications such as postmenstrual spotting, chronic pelvic pain, and C-section scar ectopic pregnancies have created a new medical era of gynecologic disease. A new type of vaginal repair is evaluated to repair C-section diverticulum (CSD) and rebuild the muscular layer to improve symptoms of abnormal uterine bleeding and decrease the risk of uterine rupture.

BACKGROUND: The study was conducted to compare cycle control, bleeding pattern and efficacy of two low-dose combined oral contraceptives.
STUDY DESIGN: Four hundred fifty-three women were randomized to receive a 24/4 regimen of drospirenone 3 mg/ethinyl estradiol 20 mcg (drsp 3 mg/EE 20 mcg; n=230) or a 21/7 regimen of desogestrel 150 mcg/EE 20 mcg (DSG 150 mcg/EE 20 mcg; n=223), and recorded bleeding daily over 7 treatment cycles.

OBJECTIVE: To report a case of a child born with Möbius syndrome following exposure in utero to mifepristone and misoprostol for elective abortion.
CASE SUMMARY: In the seventh week of pregnancy, a woman was administered mifepristone 600 mg and, 2 days later, misoprostol 400 mug for abortion. One month later, despite significant metrorrhagia, an ultrasound examination showed ongoing gestation.
