Smart textile interfaces hold promise for battery-free wearable interaction, yet their adoption is limited by complex fabrication and insufficient on-body evaluation. PURPOSE: Present an updated technique for surgical implantation of revakinagene taroretcel.
METHODS: The surgical technique is described with supplemental video included.
RESULTS: Surgical implantation of revakinagene taroretcel was safely performed without adverse events. The capsule was positioned into the vitreous cavity, the associated fixation loop was appropriately secured to the sclera using a double-armed 9-0 polypropylene suture, the sclerotomy was closed with 9-0 nylon sutures, and the conjunctiva was closed to ensure proper coverage of the sutures and insertion site.

We report two cases of aphakia in whom an intraocular lens (IOL) was intrasclerally fixated through the pars plana to minimize further corneal endothelial damage. A modified lock-and-lead technique was used. A sclerotomy and scleral incision were made 2.5 mm from the limbus. Corneal scarring secondary to inactive phlyctenular keratoconjunctivitis (PKC) is a significant cause of decreased vision in Alaskan Natives. The results of primary penetrating keratoplasty for such cases at the Alaska Native Medical Center form the basis of this report. Eighteen cases met the criteria established for this study.
