Complete disappearance of adrenergic fibers in the rat uterus is only possible after complete removal of ovaries along with ovarian plexus, transection of the uterus-vaginal connexion and removal of a portion of sympathetic nervous trunk. "Long" adrenergic neurons situated in spinal sympathetic ganglia, seem not to be the only source of sympathetic innervation of the myometrium's vessels. A part of nervous fibers of vascular plexuses and all muscle nerves are represented by "short" neurons starting from the ganglionic structures of the uterus-vaginal connexion.

Canine hemangiosarcoma (HSA), a malignant neoplasm of vascular endothelial or bone marrow progenitor cell origin, most often affects the spleen, heart, and liver and typically has an aggressive biologic behavior. BACKGROUND: Adenosarcoma arising in inguinal endometriosis is a rare clinical entity.
CASE: A 47-year-old nulligravida presented with a persistent and enlarged right groin mass. Sixteen years earlier she had undergone total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy for endometriosis and was placed on estrogen therapy. Surgical en bloc excision of the 12 x 4 cm inguinal mass revealed adenosarcoma arising in endometriosis.

Two cases of endometriosis infiltrating the round ligament and associated with an inguinal hernia are presented. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of a pelvic (hip) tilt exercise in relieving ligament pain during pregnancy. A multiple pain measurement approach was used. The intensity of ligament pain was decreased as indicated by scores on three of four pain intensity measures. The duration of ligament pain also was reduced, although not significantly. Mean scores on all measures of ligament pain intensity, duration, and frequency were lower after the exercises were initiated. Morphology of uterine ligaments and the vaginal mucosa has been examined in 61 patients with uterine prolapse in order to provide guidelines for an optimum management with respect to tissue functional status. Specimens were obtained intraoperatively and examined in a usual microscope and a S-570 Hitachi scanning electron microscope (Japan). The study suggests that morphologic evaluation of the vaginal walls and uterine ligaments provides an exact measure of tissue status, offering an optimum choice of treatment in these patients.

As the incidence of the carpal tunnel syndrome among family members of patients is not precisely defined in the literature, we described here two new cases. Few authors reporting on patients with the carpal tunnel syndrome refer to the familial occurrence of the disorder. Median nerves were constricted under thickened carpal ligaments. In one case, we looked for amyloidosis in the transverse carpal ligament under electron microscope but we could not find any.

We report a large kindred in which individuals presented with fixation of the scapula to the first rib by a congenitally short costocoracoid ligament. Cosmetic deformity with rounding of the shoulder and loss of the anterior clavicular contour was the main concern of the affected individuals. A 7-year-old girl presented complaining of right groin swelling for 1 week and underwent routine examination at the emergency department. An ultrasonography reported a well-defined cystic lesion with no internal vascularity, connected to the inguinal canal, and located lateral to the epigastric vessels. A left-sided gallbladder is a gallbladder located on the left side of the round ligament. It constitutes an uncommon anatomic abnormality.
