Repeated determinations of the circulation time by the fluorescein method were made in normal and shocked dogs. In normal animals the circulation time ranges from 9 to 16 seconds with an average of 12.6 seconds. In traumatic shock the circulation time is invariably prolonged. For prognosis in the traumatized animal two determinations of fluorescein circulation time separated by an interval of 1 hour are essential. If the second circulation time is longer than the first and both are over 30 seconds, the animal will not survive without therapy. On the other hand, if the second circulation time i

OBJECTIVE: Resuscitation of traumatic shock (TS) is reflexively oriented towards haemorrhage control, reflecting its contribution to early preventable mortality. While the mechanisms of shock are well established, the relative frequency of haemorrhagic, non-haemorrhagic, indeterminate, and mixed aetiologies in blunt-predominant cohorts is less well characterised. This study aimed to identify and rank the causes of TS among adult major trauma (MT) patients managed at an Australian Level 1 trauma centre.
METHODS: A retrospective cohort study (Dec 2022-Jan 2025) identified MT patients meeting a

Traumatic hypotensive shock is a critical and primary cause of traumatic death, yet the efficiency of treatment remains unsatisfactory. New concepts and technologies are continually being proposed. In view of the difficulty to establish effective venous access on the scene, leading to the concept of permissive hypotension. The blood pressure-raising effect of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound proposed by scholars in China might bring about a new breakthrough. However, at this stage, treatment technologies for traumatic hypotensive shock still face challenges such as the difficulty in conducting

OBJECTIVE: To study the value of emergency nursing mode in patients with traumatic shock.
METHODS: 76 patients with traumatic shock in our hospital from March 2019 to February 2021 were selected and divided into study group and control group according to different rescue modes, 38 cases in each group. The study group adopted emergency nursing mode for rescue, while the control group adopted routine nursing mode for rescue. The rescue intervention, emergency stay and preoperative preparation time, rescue success rate, emergency rescue effect, complications, and satisfaction rate of patients an
