INTRODUCTION: Purple Urine Bag Syndrome (PUBS) is a rare disorder seen in elderly persons, wherein the urinary bag and the tubing turn in to purple colour. It is usually seen in patients who are on urinary catheters for a long time. It consists of a change in the colour of the urine that turns purple in a very specific context.

Three comatose children with neurogenic diabetes insipidus were treated with intravenous infusion of vasopressin. The infusion of vasopressin was started at a dose of 1.3 to 2.7 mU/kg/h as soon as diabetes insipidus was diagnosed. Interactions were studied between highly metastatic murine MB6A lymphosarcoma cells and rat liver endothelial cells that had been isolated by collagenase perfusion and purified by unit gravity sedimentation.
