Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the anal canal is exceedingly rare and its histogenesis is poorly understood. We present a case of small-cell NEC of the anal canal in a 70-year-old woman. We have established a cell line (TB) from a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) specimen of a patient with a primary leptomeningeal melanomatosis. An unprecedented presentation of multicentric paraganglioma in a 48-year-old man is described. One of the paragangliomas, originally diagnosed as a carcinoid tumor, presented as a lung mass and was removed. Four years later, an intravagal paraganglioma was discovered.
