We report a case of Propionibacterium acnes septic arthritis of a shoulder following two joint access procedures. Methodical investigation of these two procedures was performed using the Joint Commission root cause analysis matrix, which involved examination of protocols, interviews with technologists and physicians, and inspection of the procedure rooms and equipment. PURPOSE: To report two cases of eyeball tattoos with short-term post procedural complications.
OBSERVATIONS: Case 1 is a 26-year-old Mexican man that developed orbital cellulitis and posterior scleritis 2 h after an eyeball tattoo. Tattoos are popular body decorations mainly done for cosmetic purposes. Regarded as a form of self-expression, tattoos reflect the character of the person wearing it. However, as tatoos are persistent visual markings on the body, frequently misperceived by the others causing tattooed to seek removal. Today most of the tattoos can be successfully treated with laser ablation. Here we present a case of generalized allergic contact dermatitis after laser tattoo removal which is a rare adverse reaction of laser tattoo removal.

BACKGROUND: The principle of sentinel lymph node states that metastatic melanoma spreads in a predictable sequential fashion from the primary site to the regional lymph node basin.
OBJECTIVE AND CONCLUSION: Reports show that melanoma and tattoo pigment can be in the same regional lymph node basin on gross evaluation. We present two cases of melanoma arising within the setting of a tattoo where the sentinel lymph node contained both pigmented histiocytes and metastatic melanoma on gross inspection and histopathology.

Temporary henna tattoos have become increasingly widespread. Although reactions to henna tattoo are becoming progressively more common, only one case of a henna pseudotattoo resulting in temporary hypertrichosis has been reported so far. We report three patients who received paint-on henna tattoos on their right upper arm.
