This case presents a 31-year-old patient who was admitted due to secondary amenorrhea and high beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels. During hospitalization, a hydatidiform mole was identified. Initially, fractional curettage, hysteroscopy, and laparoscopy were performed. Due to the ineffectiveness of these methods, it was decided to perform a supracervical hysterectomy. Couvelaire uterus (CU) is a rare complication in the life-threatening placental abruption (PA) that consists of a state of blood infiltration of the uterine myometrium and serosa. The incidence is around 1% and the treatment of choice is obstetric hysterectomy, however, in some cases, close monitoring and timely decision-making can prevent hysterectomy. Herein, we present a rare and serious case of CU with uterus preservation in a young multiparous with a high-risk pregnancy.

The female genital tract system is rarely affected by neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Plexiform neurofibromas are congenital lesions that occur in patients with NF1. The vulva is the most frequent genital location but vaginal, cervical, uterine, and ovarian neurofibromas have rarely been reported. We describe a case of plexiform neurofibromas involving the uterine cervix in a patient with known NF1 that presented with chronic pelvic pain and heavy menstrual bleeding.
