Thirty-two patients being evaluated for hypertension by angiography were also studied by digital video subtraction angiography (DVSA). Twenty-three of the 76 renal arteries were found by conventional angiography to have significant lesions. Two experienced angiographers evaluated the DVSA studies without knowledge of the angiographic results. Vascular malformations of the mediastinum are extremely rare. We report a histologically proven case of a posterior mediastinal arteriovenous malformation in a 54-year-old woman simulating a mediastinal tumor and we describe the findings in conventional radiography, computed tomography, and digital subtraction angiography.

We present a case of blunt trauma to the buttock resulting in an inferior gluteal artery pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistula. The characteristic diagnostic features on CT angiography and digital subtraction angiography (DSA), along with the emergency percutaneous management of this traumatic vascular injury, are described. A review of the literature demonstrates inferior gluteal artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare condition, while successful treatment with glue embolization is previously unreported.

A case of symptomatic congenital arteriovenous malformation detected in an adult patient is presented. The diagnosis was not suspected clinically but was demonstrated by CT and digital subtraction angiography. Although very rare, a congenital arteriovenous malformation of the posterior mediastinal aorta could present as a catastrophic event if it ruptures. Serpiginous vascular channels in the retro-oesophageal posterior mediastinum on CT and angiography should raise the possibility of an arteriovenous malformation.

BACKGROUND: During coil embolization of intracranial aneurysms, the aneurysmal neck needs to be evaluated because coil protrusion into the parent artery may lead to ischemic complications. However, the neck cannot always be clearly visualized due to the limitation of the angiography system and due to the structure of the aneurysm. Transient global amnesia is considered a very rare complication of diagnostic cerebral angiography, and has been reported only in a limited number of case reports more than 15 years ago. We describe a patient experiencing transient global amnesia following cerebral digital subtraction angiography. While the condition by definition is self-limiting, its differential diagnoses may cause severe morbidity and/or mortality if left untreated. It is therefore important to build and maintain awareness of transient global amnesia as a possible complication of cerebral angiography.

INTRODUCTION: Common complications after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) include acute pancreatitis, gastrointestinal perforation or bleeding, while splenic artery rupture and bleeding is a very rare complication.
MAIN SYMPTOMS: This study reports a case of splenic artery rupture and bleeding after ERCP, providing reference experience for clinicians. This article describes the case of a 67-year-old patient who underwent ERCP to alleviate jaundice associated with pancreatic head cancer. This study aimed to establish optimal criteria for evaluation of moderate (50%-69%) and severe (70%-99%) middle cerebral artery (MCA) stenosis with transcranial color-coded sonography (TCCS). A total of 375 cases provided 409 TCCS/digital subtraction angiography vessel pairs. Peak systolic velocity (PSV), end-diastolic velocity (EDV) and mean flow velocity (MFV) of the MCA were measured.
