BACKGROUND: Urinary incontinence (UI) is a prevalent yet under-recognized condition among women in China, impairing quality of life and imposing socioeconomic burden. Primary care providers are pivotal for early detection and first-line management. Unlike Western systems dominated by general practitioners, China' s primary women' s health care is largely provided by gynecologists in county-level or lower-tier institutions. Evidence on their UI-related knowledge and practices is limited, hampering targeted training and policy efforts.

We surveyed physicians of different specialties in a large metropolitan area to determine how their characteristics affected their performance and beliefs about breast cancer screening. BACKGROUND: Transfemoral access is the traditional gold standard for uterine artery angiography; however, transradial access is gaining in popularity because of its decreased complication profile and patient preference. We present a case of a patient who underwent successful total abdominal hysterectomy for symptomatic uterine fibroids with ambiguous pelvic vasculature that would have been otherwise aborted if it were not for intraoperative transradial access angiography.
