Circulating immunoreactive intact human parathyroid hormone (PTH) was measured by a direct immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) and the results compared with a radio-immunoassay (RIA) which required extraction and concentration prior to assay. JC virus, a human polyomavirus, failed to grow or produce cytopathic effects in any of a variety of cells tested other than primary human fetal glial (PHFG) cells. Cells tested included other primary human cells and glial cells from other animals. Only a rare cell in inoculated insusceptible human cell cultures produced T or virion antigen. Carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli (CREC) has become a major public health problem worldwide. To date, there is a limited understanding of the global distribution of CREC. In this study, we performed a comprehensive genomic analysis of 7, 731 CRECs of human origin collected from different countries worldwide between 2005 and 2023. BACKGROUND: To our knowledge, this study is the first report on the seroprevalence of human leptospirosis and its epidemiological profile in 3 different geographical and climatic zones of Vietnam.
METHODOLOGY: A hospital-based surveillance in 11 public hospitals in 3 provinces in Vietnam enrolled 3,815 patients with suspected leptospirosis.
