Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare neoplasm, arising in the adult and more commonly in the pleura. For many years it has been referred to the serous surfaces of the body, namely pleura, peritoneum and pericardium; recently cases arising in mesenchymal organs such as lung, mediastinum, liver and paranasal sinuses were reported.
