Allergic contact dermatitis from topical corticosteroids is not uncommon. Budesonide has been included in the European standard series as a marker for corticosteroid allergy, though little is known of its cross-reactivity with other corticosteroids. Adult Lewis rats were thymectomized, irradiated, and restored with bone marrow from allogeneic (or F(1)) donors. Guinea pigs sensitized by repeated skin testing with potent, merthiolated coccidioidin, equal to Smith standard, exhibited erythema, edema, and an induration-like reaction to intradermal injection of the preparation. Paracoccidioidin and histoplasmin intradermic tests were performed in 107 inhabitants in Arapiraca, Alagoas. The epidemiological survey was performed in both sexes and the ages varied from 2 to 71 years. Positive results with paracoccidioidin test were recorded in 11% and the histoplasmin test was positive in 14%. With the positivity of paracoccidioidin in the histoplasmin positive population the result shows a percentage of 33.33%, while with the positivity of histoplasmin in the paracoccidioidin positive population was 41%.

We hereby present a patient suffering several episodes of anaphylaxis (generalized urticaria, dyspnea, wheezing and intense cough) a few minutes after taking different drugs containing paracetamol. Intradermal test with pure paracetamol (100 mg/ml) was positive. It was negative in six controls. Serum specific IgE anti-paracetamol (by RIA) was negative. Anaphylaxis from paracetamol is rare but has been reported. Positive skin test with paracetamol have only been rarely described.

A group of Angus X Holstein cattle were determined to have allergic rhinitis. Clinical signs included nasal discharge, tearing, sneezing, and nasal pruritus. The diagnosis was made on the basis of intradermal skin testing of affected and clinically normal cattle. The affected cattle had positive test results to various tree, grass, weed, and mold allergens. The clinical signs and seasonal occurrence were similar to those features for allergic rhinitis in man.
