In the previous study, we demonstrated that histone H3 acetylation at lysine 27 (H3K27ac), associated with high transcriptional activation, was accumulated in the Cholesteatoma. In this study, we firstly investigated the expression of H3K27ac and histone acetyltransferase, p300 in human Cholesteatoma tissues. And then, we investigated the effects of a p300 inhibitor, C646, against Cholesteatoma growth.

Airway surface liquid (ASL) pH has been proposed to be important in the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis, asthma, and cough. These results support the hypothesis that the brain vasculature is the site of PGE2 production responsible for LPS-induced fever. LPS seems to increase the PGE2 level in the entire brain via the induction of COX-2. The indirect leucocyte migration inhibition test was applied to the contact sensitivity to a hapten (dinitrofluorobenzene, DNFB) and a water-insoluble epoxy resin (Araldite). Immunological studies were performed on Ugandan patients with hepatocellular carcinoma to test the hypothesis that the high rate of persistence of hepatitis-associated antigen in these patients is the result of defects in host immune response. We explored the feasibility of using urinary metabolites of p-chloronitrobenzene (p-CNB) as exposure biomarkers of occupational p-CNB exposure. As a specific example of the enhancement of enzymatic activity that can be induced by nanoparticles, we investigate the hydrolysis of the organophosphate paraoxon by phosphotriesterase (PTE) when the latter is displayed on semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). In search of strategies to photoactivate the luminescence of semiconductor quantum dots, we devised a synthetic approach to attach photocleavable 2-nitrobenzyl groups to CdSe-ZnS core-shell quantum dots coated with hydrophilic polymeric ligands. Fifty-five patients were sensitized to dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB). Two weeks later they were challenged. The minimal concentration yielding 2+ reactivity and one dilution above and below were then applied to the anterior chest wall on both the operated and nonoperated sides.
