The follicle-associated epithelium (FAE) is a specialized structure that samples luminal antigens and transports them into mucosa-associated lymphoid tissues (MALT). In mammals, transcytosis of antigens across the gut epithelium is performed by a subset of FAE cells known as M cells. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical efficacy of low-dose decitabine combined with CAG regimen in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome-refractory anemia with excess blasts (MDS-RAEB) through retrospective analysis.
METHODS: Thirty-six patients with MDS-RAEB who ever received low-dose decitabine combined with CAG regimen were enrolled into decitabine + CAG group and 40 patients with MDS-RAEB treated by decitabine alone in our center were enolled into the control group. We present a case of AML with c-myc amplification which was associated with homogenous staining regions (hsr) and double minutes (dmin). Cytogenetic analysis was successfully performed in 46 consecutive myeloma patients (40 newly diagnosed and six relapsed patients). Karyotype was performed on bone marrow cells after long-term cultures (6 d) stimulated by GM-CSF, GM-CSF+IL6 or GM-CSF+IL6+IL3. Long-term cultures of mouse bone marrow cells were treated with naloxone, starting at the time of culture initiation or in the 2nd or 4th week of culture. Cell proliferation was suppressed and the ratio of immature and mature granulocytes to macrophages diminished by naloxone treatment.
