Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) have been studied as a potential therapeutic option to improve outcomes in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Although several randomized controlled trials have evaluated the effectiveness of MRAs in post-MI patients, the specific effects remain debated. We systematically searched databases including Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. The primary efficacy outcome was death from any cause. Secondary efficacy outcomes included death from cardiovascular causes, death from MI, and others. Subgroup analyses were performed based

Low back pain (LBP) is the most common and incapacitating musculoskeletal disorder globally. The use of non-pharmacological interventions for the management of LBP is recommended by global clinical practice guidelines. However, existing guidelines often exhibit poor quality, as evidenced by inadequate systematic reviews of evidence. This necessitates further reviews tailored to the specific context of different countries. This review searched the CINAHL, EMBASE, MEDLINE, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Wanfang databases from their inception to May 14, 2024. After data extraction by t

Evidence-based medicine continues to face the challenge of research waste (i.e., nonpublication, reporting limitations, high risk of bias) in randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of degenerative spinal diseases (DSDs). A search was conducted on ClinicalTrials.gov for RCTs registered before July 27, 2024 using the keywords DSDs and related terms. The major outcome was the percentage of trials exhibiting the characteristics of research waste on DSD RCTs. A total of 335 DSD RCTs were eligible, with a lower percentage of multicenter trials outside North America than in North America (33 [14.7%] vs. 5

BACKGROUND: Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is an effective surgical intervention for treating chronic neuropathic pain conditions that are refractory to other management options, such as opioids, physical therapy, nerve blocks, or radiofrequency ablation. It is currently clinically approved as the main therapeutic procedure for persistent low back pain. As we understand these mechanisms better, SCS could have novel clinical applications. For this reason, an accurate understanding of research progress into the molecular and circuit mechanisms of SCS is indispensable for enhancing its effectivene
